A term we use in almost every one of our conversations and meetings, “value creation” signifies our approach to mixing experience and expertise, stirring it with optimism and ingenuity, and, most important, figuring out how to help our clients build high-quality products, deliver high-quality services, and reduce risk.

Rashid is a visionary leader who, for 15 years now, has charted the course for SCi’s sustainable growth and remarkable client and employee satisfaction rates. He spends most of his time doing two things. First, he is listening to SCi’s clients about their business needs, advising them on cost-effective solutions, and facilitating their decision-making. Second, Rashid spends his time figuring out how to transform SCi into an even more valuable company.
With almost 20 years of professional experience, Rashid has been an instrumental proponent of technology empowerment in the public and private sector. He has committed himself early on to work with stakeholders on finding real opportunities to improve people’s lives at work, and at home, through the use of technology, organizational culture, and business sustainability. Graduating from the University of Arizona (where it gets really hot) to planting his roots and building his company in Minneapolis, Minnesota (where it gets really cold), Rashid knows how manage and negotiate any type of situation.

Bob Burton | Chief Operating Officer | Click here to read the full bio
Bob is a proven corporate executive who is recognized by peers for his intelligent ideas, practical solutions, and methodical approach. At the helm of SCi’s initiatives to build, scale, and sustain the company, he is involved in every aspect of operations. Bob leads strategic planning and oversees business development, human resources, finance, and contracts. He is also spearheading our 2011 Strategic Plan to further the company’s expansion within key market segments.
With over 35 years of professional experience, Bob has held increasingly more complex roles in the private sector since retiring as a U.S. Naval Officer. Since mid 1990s, he has been the Vice President and General Manager of one company, and the Chief Operating Officer of two others. He was also involved in the equity markets when he almost led a management buyout and took the ropes as CEO and President. Successful doesn’t even begin to describe our most important graduate of the prestigious U.S. Naval Academy.

Ken M'Bale | Chief Technology Officer | Click here to read the full bio
Technology empowerment is the name of the game, and Ken, our CTO, has been the MVP since he joined SCi. Ken is responsible for three key aspects of SCi’s success. One, he is Bob’s equivalent in strategic planning and operational management. Two, Ken leads every phase of client delivery, from project inception and planning through management, measurement, and continuous improvement. He is always imaging creative ways to improve our service delivery, ensure our clients are succeeding, and enable our employees to do their best work. And three, Ken shepherds SCi’s technology investments. He is the primary reason SCi was appraised as a CMMI Level 3 company; and modernized our infrastructure with the best (and secure) cloud-computing hardware and software, most dynamic business processes, and proven program and project management methodologies.
Ken has held executive responsibilities for a number of companies and social sector organizations over the past decade. With a commitment to furthering the public good through the use of technology and smart people, he has carved a niche – an executive who not only understands, but genuinely knows how to combine people, process, and technology. Although Ken has a master’s degree from Bowie State, he’s always studying for some new advanced certification that he can add to his credentials of PMP, CMMI czar, and so on.
