Rashid Ishaq
Rashid Ishaq founded Select Computing in March 1996. After spending two years working for a local Twin Cities IT consulting firm, Mr. Ishaq, at the age of 25, decided it was time to make the move into the entrepreneur’s realm. Securing a few contracts for quality assurance work and software applications, he began working out of his home and even sold his car, at the time, to make his first payroll.
Under Rashid’s leadership SCI tripled in size and revenue its first year and the company has become a successful and fast-growing information technology solution provider supporting companies and government agencies across the country.
Mr. Ishaq holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Business Management and Marketing.
Vice President, Business Development-Bob Burton
Mr. Burton is a senior information technology (IT) management professional with more than 35 years of leadership and management experience, including 20 years at the executive level, with demonstrated expertise in business development, corporate strategic planning and execution, financial and program management, and development and support of Department of Defense (DOD) and Federal business systems.
During his twenty-five year career as a Navy Supply Corps Officer, Bob was a designated DOD financial, acquisition and logistics specialist with significant hands-on experience in direct support of operational forces and the development and implementation of standard business systems across DOD.
Since his transition to the private sector Bob has successfully managed business groups providing successful IT solutions to DOD and Federal clients. He led the efforts for a major IT system developer and integrator and was responsible for business development, business group line management, and helping define the technology strategy in a mid-size IT services company.
Mr. Burton has used his leadership role in business development, direct line management, and as a means to support the integration of business issues with technology and operational concerns to provide the highest levels of client satisfaction. Mr. Burton is a proven strategic visionary, an effective change agent, and a hands-on leader in the work environment.
