At RBC Dain, the SCi team consists of a Mainframe Operations analysts. The SCi team is responsible for:
- Identify, define and document current state analysis, requirements and use cases for the application.
- Work with the project manager, architects, and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the application.
- Participate in transitions of the requirements and use cases to the designers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
- Translate technical requirements and the functional and physical models into the detailed design, and subsequently coding and testing of components
- Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Work with data and infrastructure teams to communicate Retained Applications requirements as well as understand the data and infrastructure components required for Retained Applications analysis and design activities to be competed.
- Inform the technical architect(s) and work cell lead of any issues that may affect other areas of the project.
- Serve as a liaison to the business community. Participate in a user and task analysis to ensure that the business community's perspective is maintained.
- Participate in quality reviews, and ensure that the application requirements are complete and that subsequent design satisfies the requirements.
- Participate in transitions of the designs to the programmers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the designs.
- Complete all appropriate documentation required by the programmers, testers, Deployment team, and Application Management team that will maintain the application.
- Manage scope of work cells and direct designers and programmers through assigned tasks.
- Perform quality assurance on deliverables created by assigned programmers and designers.
